Il Volo was chosen for the opening theme song of the Rai fiction “Màkari”
by 16 March 2021The opening theme song of the new television miniseries “Màkari”, interpreted by IL VOLO and written by IGNAZIO BOSCHETTO, a member of the trio is available digitally. This is the first time they’ve made a song for a fictional program: https://SMI.lnk.to/Makari
Ignazio, a native of Marsala, wrote a song that tells of the Sicily he loves. It’s attachment to traditions, how it’s a land of the wise and foolish made of devils and saints. He wrote it based on the images of the series. He then shared it with his longtime companions, Piero Barone and Gianluca Ginoble, who combined their unmistakable voices in an unpublished song that pays homage to a land of which they are very attached.
Being called upon to make this theme song was an exciting new opportunity that added to the already rich career of IL VOLO. Recently, the trio had the honor of paying homage to Maestro Ennio Morricone on the stage of the Sanremo Festival, accompanied by the orchestra that was directed by his son Andrea Morricone: it was an emotional performance that displayed the preview of the trio’s new recording project “IL VOLO tribute to ENNIO MORRICONE”
