A Christmas gift for you! A life show on Rai 1!
by 23 December 2020On Friday 25 December IL VOLO will perform an exclusive live show that will be broadcast on Rai 1 at 8:35 pm, after TG1. The trio will bring the spirit of Christmas to Italian homes with an unprecedented performance, singing “Adeste Fideles”, “Oh Holy Night” and “Astro del Ciel”.
For this special occasion Il Volo will perform from Piazza Papa Pio XII in Rome, which will become the scene of a Christmas TV showcase for the first time. The Basilica of St. Peter behind the square will complete the scenography with the tree and the nativity scene that are set up every year between the colonnade. Piero Barone, Gianluca Ginoble and Ignazio Boschetto’s exhibition will be an evocative one, a gift for all Italians, and beyond, and for just a few moments letting us be wrapped up in the magical atmosphere of Christmas.
In the same location, Piazza Papa Pio XII in Rome, the event “IL VOLO tribute to ENNIO MORRICONE” will be held on 5 June 2021, it will be an overwhelming journey into the art of one of the greatest composers of the twentieth century. “IL VOLO tribute to ENNIO MORRICONE” is a project by Michele Torpedine and is produced by Friends & Partners and MT Opera & Blues. The event is part of “United For The World”, a format that combines music and visual arts, born from an idea by Thomas Errera, creator and organizer of events. “United For The World” is a platform that, through entertainment, aims to raise awareness on important global issues such as the care and protection of the planet, inclusion, sustainable development. Rome Capitale has given its patronage to the project.
