June 5th: Il Volo will open 2021 at the Verona Arena
by 14 April 2021Saturday June 5th IL VOLO will open 2021 at the VERONA ARENA with an extraordinary concert-event in honor of Maestro ENNIO MORRICONE.
After having dedicated the extraordinary song “Your Love” to him on the Sanremo stage, Il VOLO will celebrate the Maestro at the Verona Arena with “IL VOLO – Tribute to ENNIO MORRICONE“. The trio will recall the legendary music in a dreamy atmosphere, accompanied by an incredible orchestra.
This exciting tribute will take us all on a journey into the art and music of the most brilliant composer of the twentieth century. It will be broadcast live on a primary Italian channel and in the United States on the prestigious PBS network.
“IL VOLO – Tribute to ENNIO MORRICONE” is also the title of the next recording project by Piero Barone, Ignazio Boschetto and Gianluca Ginoble, with worldwide release for Sony Music.
Il VOLO has always been linked to the Maestro. They shared the stage with Morricone in 2011 in Piazza del Popolo in Rome, performing the song “E più ti credo”. The song was part of a medley of musical theme songs composed by Ennio Morricone for the films “C’era una volta in America” and “Malèna”. Even in numerous concerts all over the world, the Italian trio has often presented “E più ti credo”, as a tribute to one of the greatest Italian treasures and cultural heritage of the whole world.
