After the release of Ad Astra (International Edition)—the new international version of their latest album, enriched with five new tracks, including Capolavoro (English Version)—IL VOLO announces Tra le onde, their new single, available for presave starting today and out on December 6 on radio and all digital platforms via Epic Records/Sony Music Italy.

Tra le onde—written by Stefano Marletta and Michael Tenisci, and produced by Michael Tenisci and E.D.D.—immediately transports listeners into a dreamlike atmosphere, opening with an intimate piano melody that evokes the embrace of a calm sea. The intensity builds gradually, with strings swelling like stormy waves, culminating in a powerful chorus where the voices of Piero Barone, Ignazio Boschetto, and Gianluca Ginoble intertwine in perfect harmony.

“La vita è come un corso d’acqua / passa sotto di noi / che restiamo insieme tra le onde”, IL VOLO sings in a track that explores resilience and the inner strength needed to hold onto what truly matters, even when life feels overwhelming. Tra le onde invites us to surrender to life’s natural flow, guided by the power of love, facing every storm with courage and never yielding to difficulties. It’s a tribute to those who stand by us in challenging times, reminding us that while nurturing our solitude and inner space is important, true richness lies in sharing them with those we love.

“Tra le onde is a cornerstone of the musical journey in Ad Astra, our first album of original songs. The track was born from our desire to showcase our three distinct vocal styles, striking a balance between our artistic identity and an international perspective. We aimed to merge our signature style with influences from English pop, exploring fresh and modern sounds while staying true to what defines us. The real challenge was creating a chorus that’s as memorable as it is singable, one that highlights our classic vocal strengths while opening the door to new interpretations.” IL VOLO
